The Boxer Rebellion - Evacuate

The band is named after the Chinese anti-imperialism strikes in the end of the 19th century. The Boxer Rebellion is formed by 4 music enthusiasts from England, Australia and America. Nathan Nicholson is the front-man and left the US after the death of his mother. He moved to London in which he used his music to forget his loss. The band was formed in 2003, they released a self titled EP which brought them to the New Bands tent at Glastonbury and quickly after they supported Razorlight and The Killers. In 2005 they released their dubut Album Exits. Universal signed the band quickly after, Universal did not put much effort in the band which resulted in the band to leave the label when their second album Union was almost finished. They had to finish the album with their own resources.

The band luckily made a deal with Itunes which made Union reach the 4th position in the Itunes top 100. The album was physically released in 2010 and their latest single is called Evacuate:
